What’s got me thinking this week:

I’ve officially entered my “maybe I should stop drinking so much Diet Coke” era LOL.

Somewhere along the way I saw one of those terrifying videos of Diet Coke stripping paint off metal and suddenly my brain was like…maybe we calm down a little. So now I’m on a sparkling water journey and trying to convince myself carbonation without chemicals is actually exciting.

Current rankings:

  • Waterloo

  • Sanzo

  • Nixie

Open to more recs because this may be the hardest habit I’ve ever tried to break honestly.

THIS WEEK’S EDIT:

Things couples don’t admit enough

The older I get the more I realize relationships are honestly just:

  • tiny habits

  • repeated jokes

  • selective hearing

  • food negotiations

  • sending each other videos from opposite ends of the couch

So in honor of that…here are ours.

👧 Gabriella’s side

1.
Sometimes i don’t want solutions…I just want dramatic emotional support for like seven minutes.
I need:
“oh my god???”
“wait WHAT”
“that’s actually insane”

Please don’t hit me with logic immediately.

2.
I absolutely ask “what should we eat?” while secretly already knowing what Iwant.

Every suggestion he gives is somehow wrong. And yet…this ritual continues nightly.

3.
Occasionally I start an argument because I’m overstimulated and hungry and don’t realize it yet.

The important part is I DO apologize after lol.

4.
I’m objectively not a good driver…but somehow still tell him how to drive from the passenger seat.

5.
Half of being in a relationship is just sending each other reels from opposite sides of the couch.

No words. Just: “this is us”

👦 PAAK’S SIDE

1.
Sometimes when she says “quick picture” i know the next 35 minutes of my life are gone.

2.
I’ve learned “i’m fine” and “nothing’s wrong” are actually two completely different situations.

3.
I genuinely do not care where we eat as long as the answer arrives quickly and confidently.

4.
Sometimes I pretend not to notice the packages at the door because it feels safer that way.

5.
There’s a difference between listening and listening correctly…and I’m still learning.

👩‍❤️‍👨 together

1.
Sometimes the best date nights are just takeout, sweats, and watching our shows after a long week.

2.
Love is mostly tiny repetitive things nobody posts online.

making coffee.
sending updates.
remembering sauces.
charging the other person’s phone.
saving the last bite.

That’s the real stuff honestly.

And now I need to hear yours 👀 We’ll be asking on stories this week.

WHAT I WORE

A lot of:

  • chocolate brown tones

  • tiny dresses

  • oversized blazers

  • messy buns and sunglasses

  • sporty little matching sets

  • “running errands but also maybe getting a manhattan” outfits

This week felt very:
“European summer Pinterest board meets California heat wave.”

Some favorites:

  • the brown polka dot mini dress

  • boxer-style matching set with oversized blazer

  • floral corset tank moment

  • chocolate activewear set for coffee/gym/grocery store pretending I’m athletic

  • messy bun + tiny sunglasses combo making every outfit look more expensive somehow

WHERE WE ATE

Lo & Behold - Healdsburg

Brunch at Lo & Behold

OOOOF.

This was one of those brunch spots where every single thing coming out looked dangerous.

What we ordered:

  • fried chicken + biscuits with matcha butter

  • steak and fried rice

  • the table cinnamon roll obviously

  • cocktails that genuinely surprised me

The Thai tea cocktail???
Need that injected into my bloodstream respectfully.

One thing I also loved: the owners make a ton of their base ingredients from scratch — including their own tonic water, which is honestly kind of iconic.

Just really thoughtful food without feeling pretentious.

Lo & Behold - Healdsburg

More finds to save:

SF

Tank Winery

If you’re willing to venture a little farther this holiday weekend — this winery is SO fun. It was converted from an old gas station and somehow still feels chic while being super laid back.

The Station — Berkeley

One of those smash burgers that makes everyone at the table go silent for a second. Also…get the shake. Don’t overthink it.

Hologram — SF

Cute Filipino cafe for:

  • sweet treats

  • matcha

  • ube coffee

  • breakfast sandwiches

Very good “catch up with a friend for two hours accidentally” energy.

NYC

Depanneur

The roast beef sandwich on baguette with caramelized onion soup…yeah.
Go immediately.

Ceres

Veryyyy impressive sourdough pizza. Get the nduja with burrata and balsamic.

Bar Snack

Fun drinks, fun snacks, and a cocktail called the Melonde that tastes like summer in the best way possible.

LA

Hermosillo

Burgers and baked alaska??
That’s enough for me honestly.

Dunsmoor

The cornbread.
That’s the section.

But also the entire vibe here feels warm, woodsy, cozy, slightly romantic. One of my favorite dinner atmospheres in LA.

Burritos La Palma

Handmade tortillas will always win me over. Always.
Simple, ridiculously good Zacatecan-style burritos that somehow taste like comfort and nostalgia simultaneously.

HIS EDIT

PAAK’S PICKS

He’s in his “clean vintage sporty” era lately and honestly…I support it.

Current formula:

  • oversized jackets

  • relaxed pants

  • good sneakers

  • tiny sunglasses

  • neutrals with one statement piece

This week’s fit details:

  • brown varsity jacket

  • brown carpenter pants

  • Adidas Country Japan sneakers

  • Off-White Arthur sunglasses

Very “cool guy that definitely knows a better taco spot than you” energy.

What I’m Loving

This side table

This boars hair & plastic brush

CLOSING VIBES

A few things I’ve been loving lately:

  • Currently listening to this Spotify playlist on repeat lately and it’s very “windows down driving home at sunset” energy. Spotify playlist

  • Finished Love Island UK season 12 and holy canoliiii these people are MESSY. Helena. Harry. Harrison. Why are all the problems caused by people whose names start with H??? Season 13 starts June 1 and yes…I will absolutely be sat.

  • Also started watching Dutton Ranch even though I never watched Yellowstone LOL. I’m invested though. Everyone is angry and saying “fuck” every third word but somehow I’m locked in.
